Somebody To Love
I am tired and it is glorious!
Thanks to no longer being on combination birth control pills, I’ve spent the last 3 weeks with unceasing insomnia because the lack of estrogen caused withdrawal symptoms. Yesterday I got tired around 11pm and even though I stayed up until 1am researching ultrabooks I slept for 6 straight hours and it was amazing. I was so productive today simply because I had the energy to get up and do things. I ran a lot of errands during the day and then spent the evening cleaning out and organizing the craft/computer/tv room.
The best part is I am tired again. Two days in a row! I am cherishing this ...

Lately, I've been dreaming of chicken. Hot, racy dreams of chicken. Well, hot, racy dreams of eating chicken. Not just chicken either. Hamburgers. It’s most definitely a side-effect from growing up on videogames (more specifically, lots and lots of RPGs), but every now and again it hits me that you can’t save your life progress, and hit reset, and try something different. It’s not that you wouldn’t live with the consequences of your actions, you’d just get to see what they’ll be ahead of time and pick the ones you can live with best. At college I learned how to use a binder. How dividers can be placed, how to pick out what goes where, when a topic has graduated to its own binder, when to shrink down to just one. How to title page, to colour coordinate, to spine label and to index.

Putting things to rest
In 2007-2008 I did a sketching project. I decided I would do a sketch a day for an entire year and post it to my flickr account publicly, whether I was proud of the sketch or not. I thought this would be good for me.
In the past couple weeks, I’ve been feeling anxious about a lot of the drawings I have online. I’m not sure exactly what prompted this anxiety. I suspect that what happened is that some part of my brain feels that many of the themes that were coming out in the drawings need to be laid to rest.
