Wedding Wrap-up

After the first couple of beers went straight to my head, I grabbed Laura and dragged her away from the wedding party towards the basement. Once we were all by ourselves, I kissed her wildly on the lips, showed her mutant fish and vicious animals, and made her spin, spin on tabletops.

We returned to the party for more beer. Everyone was happy and belligerent — we banged our glasses loudly and made Greg and Larissa kiss again and again. And despite the fact that we all acted like assholes, we still received delicious food and speeches, which we interrupted gleefully.

Afterwards, we force-fed little children sugar so we could watch them go wild. And we went wild too, celebrating love, marriage and warm, lustful nights by swinging our limbs to the songs of our youth and enveloping everyone in sweaty embraces.

The wedding felt like a dream. If it wasn’t for the photographic evidence and the eyewitness accounts I would’ve doubted it happened. But everyone seemed to have experienced the same moments of surreal joy:
